
Employer Supported Volunteering
This page is intended as a guide for companies considering allowing their staff to volunteer individually or as part of a team, during one or more sessions during the year.

Employer Supported Volunteering can be in the form of:
• One off challenges usually lasting no more than one or two days
• Projects with a life span of a few days, weeks or months
• Regular commitments, for example, an hour a week or half a day a month
All of these options can be taken on by one person or a team varying in size from 3 to 20+
Benefits to the staff may include:
• Experiencing activities that are completely different to their normal work
• Encouraging team spirit leading to strong and effective teams
• Developing project management or team leadership skills
• Gaining satisfaction from benefiting the community and voluntary sector
• Broadening of career prospects
• Promoting the value of volunteering as a post-employment option.

Employer Supported Volunteering
The provision of a dedicated member of staff to liaise and negotiate volunteering experiences and challenges on behalf of companies will entail the following scale of charges:
A Registration Fee of £100 to source and supply one challenge.
These charges will cover meetings, facilitating challenges (if need be), writing press releases, preparation talks etc.
A designated person within the company will be asked to complete a Registration Form and pay a registration fee (by cheque payable to CFfP) before any work is undertaken.
